Embracing the Changing Seasons

Its September! I am so excited we are getting the hint of Fall here in the NW. Fall and Spring are my favorite seasons. This is also a season of starting the slow down. For me, I am ramping up for the holidays and getting the last of my canning in. This weekend will actually be about canning and probably until the end of the month.

I added to my chicken flock recently and am so happy. I helped to re-home 3 new hens and they are doing great with my flock. I get so much joy from my chickens and of course I love the fresh eggs. I have been working on my Crazy Chicken Lady Subscription Box. These will include herbs that you add to the chicken feed to help promote healthy chickens and also to help promote great egg layers. We are definitely in the season to start to add things to chicken feed as their foraging starts to end.

Its also finally cooler and I can resume making beeswax wraps. Beeswax Wraps were the first product that I started to sell in my business. It was the start of my journey, so with the change of season it feels so good to switch to something so familiar.

I hope you all are stopping to enjoy the last of the summer days, collecting your summer harvest and enjoying those last rays of sunshine. It gets pretty gloomy here in the NW once Fall is fully here. Sipping tea in the morning and enjoying the crisp mornings. Its also a great time to start prepping that Fire cider, order Elderberries and have all lhose remedies at home. Definitely check out Cup of Tea if you are looking for a good Elderberry Immune Tea, which can also be made into Elderberry syrup!
