Tis the Season

There are a mix of emotions for me when winter hits. Its normally a very busy time and its hard to find those little moments. Years ago, it was pointed out to me that winter is actually a time for rest. I definitely struggle with just resting when there is so much to do!

So here is my reminder to embrace this season of resting. The trees are hibernating, the weather encourages you to be indoors and that cup of tea is calling. This is the time to reflect on what you accomplished for the year. This is the time to spend time with family and prepare for the holiday gatherings.

Embracing the changing seasons can be hard in our go, go, go World. As much as I love the growing season, there are many magical opportunities if you stop and embrace them. Yesterday I watched some squirrels foraging in my yard. I also like to bird watch with our kitty. We have little birds that do baths and forage in the garden. The key is to stop and slow down.

So I hope you take this season to rest, Re-connect with family and friends and to really enjoy this season. I challenge you to find some joy and magic this season, whatever that is for you.
